Disappointed
I seldom leave a review and I hope the touring team gets this message but our experience was not very good.
There were many positives. I had great seats; 15 rows back, first floor center and the venue is wonderful. Show started on-time and was a good collection of musicians
But all of this was overshadowed by the poor sound quality. The sound engineer on the board is part of the band. In this case the bass, drums and especially kick drum were so amped up I often couldn't hear the vocals/sax/others. It was impossible to make sense of the lyrics. Perhaps I was in a special sonic spot where it all came out that way, but I have been to many live shows and the acoustics at this show were among the worse I have experienced.
That said, I believe Daryl Hall and Todd R. are exceptional musicians. If the sound guy is their guy, they need to fix this .. if it was Michigan Theatre's person then hopefully they will address.
